Who Do You Say I Am? - Mark 9:2-13
• Series: Who Do You Say I Am?: Discovering Jesus in the Gospel of Mark
This week we are looking at Mark 9:2-13 and the 'transfiguration' of Jesus. In this passage we are reminded of what Jesus came to do, reveal the glory of God to us. However, in the proceeding passages, we are reminded that this will not always be an easy process. We will have questions that may go unanswered, and we will find in ourselves an inability to obey as we ought, and yet what we are shown in Mark 9 is that Jesus is the God who is present with us despite our inability to understand and obey. He is the God who came to make a way to Him where there was no way. Join us this week as we consider the transfiguration of Jesus and what it reveals about who we are to Him.
