Who Do You Say I Am? - Mark 7:24-37
• Series: Who Do You Say I Am?: Discovering Jesus in the Gospel of Mark
This week, we are looking at Mark 8:1-21 and the feeding of the 4,000. While some assume this to be a clumsy retelling of the feeding of the 5,000 found in Mark 6, what we will see today is that this is a clever repetition of the same miracle by Jesus to demonstrate his mission. As the Messiah, Jesus has come not only for the Jews but also for the gentiles. He has come to bless the whole world and satisfy the hunger of all humanity by providing a way back to a healthy and whole relationship with God through his death and resurrection.
