Who Do You Say I Am? - Mark 6:45-56

 • Series: Who Do You Say I Am?: Discovering Jesus in the Gospel of Mark

This week we are looking at Mark 6:45-56 and the story of Jesus walking on water. In this passage, we will consider why God might call us into a storm and how he watches over us therein, even if we can't see him. Ultimately, we will consider how God reveals himself to us in the storm. We will see how the books of Exodus and Mark overlap to demonstrate that just as God revealed himself to Moses, so Jesus reveals himself to his disciples⎯not simply as a miracle worker, but as the miracle. Jesus is the personal presence and character of God on display in our world and this should give us hope.
