This week we are looking at Mark 6:30-44 and the feeding of the 5,000. In this text, Jesus invites us to see him as both the good Shepherd⎯the ultimate provider, and the bread of life⎯the ultimate provision. While we all tend to try to be our own providers and seek provision apart from Jesus, this week we are reminded that all our efforts will ultimately leave us unsatisfied until we find our satisfaction in Christ.
