Wisdom, while something we often seek, cannot solve the deepest problems of human existence. We are all still ultimately subject to the limitations of time and death. However, in Ecclesiastes 7 the teacher suggests that wisdom was never meant to remedy the human condition. Instead, it was intended to help us understand the human condition and to redirect our efforts away from the temporal and meaningless things of this world to the eternal.
