his week we consider that prayer “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” While each of us can be led away from God daily by the world, the flesh, and the Devil, we are invited in this prayer to recognize that God does not tempt us and instead wants to help us avoid temptation, all the while looking forward to God’s ultimate deliverance that he has purchased for humans through the death and resurrection of His son, Jesus.
