This week, we kick off our new series, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Road to Glory." In Luke 9:51, Jesus “sets his face to go to Jerusalem” for the final time. The disciples and all who believed in Jesus expected this journey would end in vindication and victory. However, Jesus understood that the only way to glory was through the cross. Throughout this series, we will join Jesus and the disciples on what is known as Luke’s Journey Narrative and hear Jesus' counterintuitive call to freedom: “Pick up your cross and follow me.”
